Amy Pearce-Hayden, ERYT 500
Amy’s formal study of yoga began in 1995 with Iyengar Master, Gabriel Halpern. While working toward her BFA at DePaul University’s Conservatory Professional Theatre School (Chicago), yoga was included in their curriculum and her deeper studies continued. After relocating to NYC in 1997, she received her first yoga certification and went on to open her own school in 2003 where she continues to direct both 200 & 500 hour Yoga Alliance recognized teacher training programs, in her RajaHatha lineage. Amy began studying the Yoga Sutras personally in 1992. She then studied with Rolf Sovik and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait of the Himalayan Institute throughout the last decade, first working on the Sanskrit to English translations and then on concept and deeper meaning.
As a recognized International Yoga teacher, she is sought out for her expertise in linking classical yoga with modern living. She has been a regular contributor to Yoga International Magazine, as both a cover model and creator of on-line yoga classes and guided meditations for them. During the summers of 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019 she co-hosted the Times Square Summer Solstice “Mind over Matter” event with 10,000 yogis practicing in the heart of New York.
Amy specializes in addiction, trauma therapy, and whole-family living. Her teaching and lifestyle is compassionate, practical, and personally authentic. After returning to the Midwest she opened TANTRA, her 4th Wellness Studio in Madison.
She is currently keeping busy working on her 3rd season of her podcast "Living It" with co-Author Kelly DiNardo and continues to travel to teach and lead healing retreats across the globe.
